My
husband and I love candles. In 2001, a simple trip to a
Wichita, Kansas's craft show introduced us to Classic Candles.
In the past we were like everybody else and tried the really
inexpensive candles hoping that they would be good and we
tried the really expensive candles expecting them to be
excellent. Our attention turned to Classic Candles at the
November 2001 craft show based on several immediate observations.
First, we were curious as to why their booth was so busy.
Second, we were very impressed with the number and variety
of colors that we saw. Third, we were very impressed with
the highly aromatic and realistic scents available. We took
our time and purchased eight different 5oz candles.
As
we were leaving a representative of the company approached
us. It was then that we found out that the company had only
been in business for a few months and that it was locally
owned. We had a very pleasant conversation and were very
well informed on how the candles burn and how to take care
of them. We were impressed with the knowledge that was displayed
by the representative during our conversation.
We
went home and lit the first candle. We could not believe
how wonderful the candle smelled and how well it burned.
It did not take long for us to realize that we had found
the "perfect" candle. We were so impressed with
the candles that we contacted the representative from the
craft show and set up a time for her to come to our home
and tell us how we could become Classic Candle representatives.
After
visiting with the representative at our home we were sold
on the product and the company. After a few weeks we were
generating income as reps and within five months we invested
and became independent distributors of Classic Candles.
What started out as a fun way to earn some extra cash turned
into a full-time third income for our family. Now our company,
Destin Dreamers, provides Classic Candles to the public
on a daily basis. We have an excellent and loyal customer
base that believes in the candles just like we did when
we bought our first candles. We are true believers in our
product and have allowed the candles to sell themselves.
We enjoy what we do and are proud of what we have accomplished
in such a short period of time. It makes our job much easier
knowing that we have the complete support of the owners
of Classic Candles and their staff. Their knowledge of the
product and their continued guidance and friendship has
helped our company to succeed and grow!
Sincerely,
Peggy

We
have been selling Classic Candles from day one and feel
the product is superior to any candle on the market. This
has given us the opportunity to meet a lot of great people.
We do craft shows and home shows covering all Southwest
Kansas and as far as Kansas City, Missouri. We have gained
many friendships with other crafters as well as our many
satisfied customers. Each time we go back to an area we
have been we have many repeat customers that tell us they
won't buy any other candles now. We have developed a mailing
list from each area and send out notices about a week before
returning to an area. This has been a great experience and
is still a lot of fun. I have a year and a half before retiring
and then plan on this being a full time venture for me as
Dorothy still has six years to work. I feel over the next
couple years the business will grow so that when I retire
I plan on bringing in about the same I am earning now as
I plan then to do three to four shows a month. Also doing
the home parties are great fun and that give us the opportunity
to meet a lot of really neat people. This experience has
been the most fun of anything I have done over the years.
I feel that Christal has done an awesome job and provides
great support for those of us in the field. I am looking
forward to a lot of years of fun ahead and counting the
days to retirement.
